Harborview Marine Survey

Stanton touring the Pursuit boat factory checking out the latest in boat building technology.

Living a short walk from the ocean has always been a priority for me. Whether it’s access to great boating, surfing, or waterfront relaxation, being on and around the water has always been a focal point. Following that passion has led me through down many walks in the marine industry from commercial salmon fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska and off the Washington and Oregon coast on a commercial albacore tuna boat. I have also worked as a dockmaster at Shelter Island Marina in San Diego, California and continue in that role where it all began at my family business, Peninsula Yacht Basin, in Gig Harbor, Washington. The marine tradition has always run strong with me and continues to permeate all facets of my life.

As a Surveyor Associate with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors®, I am active in my continuing education and write all reports with respects to their strict code of conduct and guidelines. You can get more information about the SAMS® Code of Ethics and Rules of Practice here, and whats makes a SAMS® surveyor your best choice.  I am also ABYC® (American Boat and Yacht Council) Standards Certified and will provide a comprehensive overview of your boat to ensure that it is found to be in accordance with the established industry expertise their research has provided. Whether you are a new boat owner or long time cruiser, I look forward to helping keep you safe and legally (USCG) compliant in all of your boating activities. As a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship in Florida, I have been taught the traditional techniques and skills to make sure that a thorough and well written survey is provided for all my clients.
